Hi, we're Adele and Simon!
We're the team behind Bella's Walks, and we're absolutely passionate about animals. Whether it's dogs, cats, or any furry friend, caring for animals isn't just our job - it's genuinely what we love doing.
We're based in Barming, Kent, and we provide dog walking, dog sitting, cat visits, and puppy care across Barming, Maidstone and Allington.
Our Background
Adele:
Before starting Bella's Walks, I worked as a veterinary nurse for 5 years. During that time, I learned so much about animal health, behaviour, and what pets truly need to be happy and healthy. I've seen firsthand how much difference regular exercise, routine, and genuine care makes to a dog's wellbeing - both physically and mentally.
I'm also qualified in Level 2 Canine Care and Welfare, pet first aid trained, and hold qualifications in Anatomy and Physiology as well as being a Human, Equine and Canine Bodywork Specialist - trained in Bowen technique, reflexology, massage therapies, and herbology.
Simon:
Simon (Si) has a natural gift for working with quirky, rescue, and off-beat dogs - the ones who need a bit more time, patience, and understanding. He's incredibly calm and patient. Many of our clients with rescue dogs or dogs that have mild, quirky habits specifically ask for Simon because he gives them the time and patience needed to make the dog feel safe and comfortable.
Together:
We're both pet first aid trained and fully insured, so you can have complete peace of mind knowing your pets are in safe, experienced hands. We combine professional qualifications with hands-on experience to deliver affordable, quality care.
Why We Started Bella's Walks
After years in veterinary practice, Adele realised what she loved most was the daily interaction with animals and building relationships with them and their owners. We wanted to create a service where pets get the individual attention they deserve - not just a quick in-and-out service, but genuine care from people who know them.
We started Bella's Walks because we believe every pet deserves to be treated like family. Whether it's an energetic young dog who needs a good run, a nervous cat who needs gentle care, or an elderly pet who needs patience and understanding - they all deserve someone who genuinely cares.
We're Not Just Dog Walkers
Yes, dog walking is a big part of what I do, but Bella's Walks offers so much more:
Dog Walking - Solo walks or small group walks, tailored to your dog's needs.
Dog/Pet Sitting - Overnight care in your pet's own home, so they stay comfortable and relaxed in familiar surroundings.
Pet Visits - Quick check-ins for puppies or elderly dogs who need toilet breaks, medication, or company during the day.
Cat Visits & Feeding - Daily visits for your cats while you're away, including feeding, fresh water, litter tray care, and plenty of cuddles.
We Come to You
Every new client starts with a free meet and greet at your home. This is so important - it means your pet meets us in familiar surroundings where they feel safe, and you can ask any questions. There's no pressure, just a chance to make sure we're the right fit for your furry family.
You Become Part of Our Family
We keep our client numbers manageable because we want to really know each pet. We want to know that Max loves splashing in puddles, that Whiskers prefers to hide under the bed until she's comfortable, or that Bella needs a gentler pace on her walks now she's older.
Run by both Adele and Simon, your dog gets consistent care from familiar faces. We guarantee the same regular walker, so relationships and routines develop over time - your dog knows their walker, and the same dogs get to know each other on group walks.
When you use Bella's Walks, you're not just another booking - you become part of our little pet-loving family.
My Own Furry Family
We practice what we preach! We share our home with XXXXXX. They keep us busy and remind us every day why we love what I do.
The "Happy" Philosophy
You might notice we use the word "happy" a lot - and that's deliberate! Our goal is simple: happy pets and happy owners.
Happy pets are well-exercised, mentally stimulated, and feel loved. Happy owners have peace of mind knowing their pets are in caring, reliable hands.
Whether it's photo updates during dog walks, detailed notes after cat visits, or just a quick message to say everything went well - we want you to feel connected to your pet even when you can't be there.

Our Approach to Pet Care
Every Pet is Different
Some dogs are social butterflies who love group walks. Others prefer the undivided attention of solo walks. Some cats want constant cuddles, others just need a quiet presence and their dinner on time.
We don't believe in one-size-fits-all pet care. At the free meet and greet, we'll chat about your pet's personality, any health needs, their routine, and what would work best for them.
Patience and Understanding
Whether it's a rescue dog who's still learning to trust, a senior cat with health issues, or a bouncy puppy with endless energy - we take the time to understand what each pet needs. No rushing, no stress, just patient, caring attention.
We use a force-free approach - meaning we work with your pet's natural behaviour using patience, positive reinforcement, and understanding. No harsh methods, no shortcuts - just genuine care and respect for every animal.
Reliability You Can Count On
Pets thrive on routine. If we say we'll be there at 11am, we'll be there. If your cat needs medication twice a day, it'll be done. Rain or shine, we're there for your pets.
